The Arrow Army appeared to have all
the weapons: big ground troops led by Dave Crecelius, Tim McVey,
and Todd Sweet; Scott Valentine at Lber and Fullback; and a passing
attack of Todd Wait or Bill Grindle to Bill Seder. However, their
schedule might have been the most competitive in history. Two
team: State champs Benedictine and Dover, made the playoff, and
only two opponents had losing records while winning 66% of their
games. The Orange and Black could only win the first and last
games while losing eight straight, and four games in the last
four minutes. MVP Scott Valentine and OSU-bound Dave Crecelius
were picked for the Ohio North-South All-star game.
