The passing combination of Mark Humrichouser
and Bill Newkirk (56 career catches for 885 yards) was the best
in 60-years of AHS football. They set all the single game records
in the Toledo Macomber game, and their 83-yarder beat Wooster
and the school record. Joe Shideler had long TDs on pass interception
returns of 85 and 72 yards, plus his 94-yard run against Mt. Vernon
set the AHS record. The most outstanding awards went to Bill Newkirk
and Rod Repschlaeger on offense and Jeff Wood and Paul Parker
on defense. |
