Despite graduating 24 seniors and only
eight returning lettermen, Coach Gray was optimistic with his
vastly improved off-season weight program. Again his team excelled
at home with a 3-1-1 record. The QB position was unsettled between
Scott Oxley, Todd Wait, and Brent Thompson. The team pulled off
a dramatic Homecoming upset against New Philly and ended a 12-year
drought against the Quakers, even though six players were suspended
for the game. The MVP was Scott Valentine. The top linemen were
Gary Kiplinger and Dave Crecelius. Top back Dan Boucher rushed
for 477 yards and 2 TDs. |
