Under new coach Paul Dienstberger the
Arrows lost eight straight in which 5 were by seven points or
less and 3 on the PAT. MVP George Andress was the first thousand-yard
passer (1156 yards) in AHS history. The 12-game losing streak
ended at home against Lorain Southview. The outstanding linemen
awards went to Steve Call on defense and Jack Vanosdall on offense.
Dan Bowersox was the leading rusher (411 yards), and Lbers John
Humrichouser (79) and Dave Funk (78) were the leading tacklers.
The banquet speaker was Jack Harbaugh, assistant coach at BGSU, and the father of the 2013 Super Bowl coaches John of the Baltimore Ravens and Jim of the San Francisco 49ers.
