The Arrows reversed their fortunes by winning the close games, which started with another 7-6 upset of Mansfield Senior in the renewal of the rivalry that ended in 1940. MVP John Humrichouser (127 tackles) was the inspirational leader of a defense that led to the CC crown. A 4th quarter five-down goal line stand at Dover was capped by Chip Roston's heroic tackle. The most outstanding awards went to Dave Funk and Dan Bowersox on offense and Dale Woodgerd and Frank Goschinski on defense. John Humrichouser was the Defensive Player of the Year in the Cardinal Conference.
