2014 summary
The closing loss to Olentangy was the 17th playoff game and 1000th game in AHS football history. The Arrows twice came within one possession of the conference championship. Again Coach Scott Valentine came up with a productive spread offense: QB Grant Denbow (231 completions, 2752 yds, & 25 TDs) and MVP Trey Smith (86 catches for 1104 yds & 10 TDs) both set school records.
The post-season awards were: on offense (back) 3rd team All-Ohio Trey Smith and (line) 2nd team All-Ohio Drew Dickinson; and on defense Johnny Jackson (line) and (backs) Alex Webb & John Wolfe. The George Valentine sportsmanship award went to Josh Pheneger. Eleven gridders made the All-OCC team, while Dickinson, Smith, Scotty Valentine and Grant Denbow were on the 1st team.
