The Arrows opened with a win over Shelby
in front of 4,500 fans at Redwood Stadium on the rushing of Gary
Stoufer (155 yards) and Dick Dauch (121 yards). When the clock
ran out on the 4-yard line against Cleveland West, the A's began
a seven game losing streak, while closing against three undefeated
foes. The Arrow's upset Galion and ended their 19-game winning
streak, when Dave Wait threw a 14-yard TD pass to Stan Lukity.
The team's awards went to Larry Hale and James Kopp on defense
and Lukity and Stoufer on offense. John Hogan was the fourth coach
for AHS in the past seven years. |
