The Orange & Black had the winningest
record since 1910. Twenty seniors, including All-Ohio honorable
mentions Kenny Reed and Cliff Hurst, led the A's. Dick Burns gained
201 yards in the Shelby win. MVP Cliff Hurst rushed for 142-yards
against Marion and kicked the winning PAT. Speedster Jesse Poorbaugh
scored twice in four different games. Taylor's Tots seven-game
win streak equaled the best since the 1915 team. |
