Again the Madison game was for the OHC
crown for the 4th time in six year, but the memorable game of
the season was the upset of State ranked Orrville. Jesse Schmidt
and Phil Hawk were first-team AP All-Ohio. Schmidt had 13 interceptions
including four against the Red Riders. Hawk had a 92-percent blocking
grade and a phenomenal 36 pancakes. Doug Myers set the AHS passing
record with 16 touchdown passes. Schmitz (38 catches & 8 TDs)
and Kevin Reagan (25 receptions & 7 TDs) were the top receivers.
Tony Dee was the defensive player of the year, and Mike Ihrig
the Senior Achievement Award. It was the Arrows third straight
5-5 season. |
